    The Natural Sciences Department at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College is currently seeking applicants with expertise in the interdisciplinary study of food, food systems, food production and distribution, food culture and food and health. Other responsibilities include teaching undergraduate biology classes; curriculum development; research and scholarly activities leading to professional growth; student guidance; participation in departmental and college assignments; and other tasks normally associated with a full-time teaching position.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Instructor: Master's degree or active progress towards a Doctoral degree in the areas of Biology, Food Studies, Agricultural Sciences, Food Sciences, Public Health or equivalent from an accredited university required. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship, recognition, leadership qualities, and the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

    Assistant Professor: Ph.D degree in the areas of Biology, Food Studies, Agricultural Sciences, Food Sciences, Public Health or equivalent from an accredited university required. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship, recognition, leadership qualities, and the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
