    Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology

     Position Summary:

    The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Lycoming College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology for the 2017-2018 academic year. The position has a 3/3 course load, including sections of Introduction to Sociology and Social Stratification each semester. The area of specialization is open, but the department is interested in offering a course outside of its current strengths in Medical Sociology and Human Services. Candidates must have a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.

    QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in Sociology is preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to teaching excellence in an undergraduate liberal arts environment and evidence of potential for continuing scholarship.
